Central Library
Simultaneously with the establishment of Alzahra University, the central library started its activity in the space of 1298 square meters in the central building with a collection of books donated by the founder of the university and other persons (about 3000 volumes of books and publications in Persian and Latin languages).
With the expansion of the library collection and the increase in the number of students in 2016, the new central library building with an area of 6890 square meters and seven floors was opened. The fourth floor is the Persian reference section, the first to the third floor is the lending section of Persian books, the administrative half-floor includes the president's office, the technical and electronic services department, the digital archive department and the information department, the ground floor is the special library for the blind and educational classes and the first negative floor. This includes theses sections, publications archives, references, and loans of Latin books.
The library resources include books (printed and digital), theses (printed and digital), publications archives, and audio-visual materials, mainly in Persian, Arabic, and English. Also, in 99, with the opening of a special library for the blind, Braille books were added to the library collection. The library's digital resources, including Latin books and university theses, are available to members online through the Azarsa library software and personal profiles. In 2018, due to the phenomenal importance of academic centers in the global network, the university's digital archive was launched.
As the most important research infrastructure, the central library serves professors, researchers, and students with all its strength.
