Alzahra at a glance
Founded in 1964 as "Girls' College", Alzahra University is one of the prominent institutions of higher education in Iran dedicated to educating learned and lively women. Although limited to the few majors of Translation Studies, Psychology, Secretarial Studies, and Housewifery during its early years of establishment, Girls' College gradually grew and in 1975 was officially expanded into a university with four independent faculties of Humanities and Literature, Management, Economics, and Sciences. After the Islamic Revolution in Iran, it was renamed Alzahra University and continued to flourish in an enterprising and progressive spirit.

Alzahra University ranks among the 40 top universities of Iran, except medicine, and it offers many study programs in different fields of study in Humanities, Basic Sciences, Arts, and Engineering.
Currently about 50 female international students are studying in Alzahra University form Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Pakistan, Lebanon, Turkey, Tanzania, and Nigeria.
Life In Alzahra
Alzahra University offers all levels of undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate programs to international students. Today around 130 international female students are studying at Alzahra form countries of Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Pakistan, Lebanon, Turkey, Tanzania, Tajikistan and Nigeria.
Our university provides a very convenient campus life to students in an extremely friendly environment. Fruitful study programs and convenient living situation are what our university present to students as we believe that comfort in life plays a key role in academic achievement of students. We offer facilities like dormitory, catering, welfare, social services, students' organizations along with advanced educational facilities.
