By order of the Minister of Science, Dr. Farideh Haghbin was elected as the president of Alzahra University.

Professor of linguistics

• Ph.D. in Linguistics from Allameh Tabataba'i University in 2004
• Master's degree in Linguistics from Tehran University in 1991
• Bachelor's degree in English Translation from Alzahra University in 1987
