Faculty of Physics and Chemistry
History
The departments of physics and chemistry were founded in 1976, as subsets of the faculty of basic sciences. Later, joined by faculty members, they began accepting MSc and PhD students. Finally, in the summer 2014 the faculty of basics sciences was divided into three separate faculties and since then the physics and chemistry groups have formed the faculty of physics-chemistry.
The faculty of physics-chemistry contains the two departments of physics and chemistry, with the programs listed below.
| department | BSc | MSc | PhD |
1 | physics | 1 physics 2 engineering physics | Optics and laser Particle physics and field theory Statistical physics and complex systems Plasma physics Condensed matter physics Gravitation and cosmology Astronomy and astrophysics | Optics and laser Particle physics and field theory Statistical physics and complex systems Plasma physics Condensed matter physics Gravitation and cosmology Astronomy and astrophysics |
